Lizzie, a teenagaer fresh off the streets of Detroit where she had been lured into sex trafficking, finds herself at The Hope House, a small women’s shelter in “middle-of-nowhere” Pennslyvania. The rules of the house irritate her, and she can’t relate with the other girls but nothing affects her more than her counseling sessions with Miss Jane, where she revisits her own journey and looks back on herself where she was a child. A child named Elizabeth.
As she spends more time at The Hope House, and eventually plans her escape back to Detroit and the very man who trafficked her, she’s confronted with a difficult choice: Can she accept this new space of love and freedom, or will she seek out her old life?
